So I decided to try it out and install OS X on my PC… yeah yeah, I’m ready for your giving me shit. I had problems at first with setting up a disk that was expandable (OS X said the disk wasn’t bootable), so I decided to try a static size disk, seemed to do the trick.
Anyways, I got the install to work:

And even to boot up!

But I’m not able to get the network up and running!
It seems that Windows doesn’t like to allow you to share connections if you’re already running a private network and CherryOS is stupid and requires you to go through Windows for your Networking. But I just wanted to show ya’ll that it works!
(Pictures are for you, Jamie)
CherryOS Works… sorta

Wow, that’s awesome. How’s the speed on that?

It’s pretty slow, but actually not really bad (feels like i’m using an old Pentium or something) or actually like if you were over RDC. OS X claims it’s a 1.27 GHz, G3 with 1GB of RAM and 424 MHZ FSB. I’d say about 1/10th it’s speed? It seems slow when it has to do something for the first time, but it “remembers” how to do it the 2nd time a little faster. No audio either.
BTW, I’m running 3.4 GHz P4, 800FSB, 1 GB (533MHz) RAM, 800 MHz FSB.

Yeah, it’s cool that you got it running… but I’ve heard similar stories about running OS X on a PC. It’s just slow… like you said. Then again, that’s why I’m glad I have my Powerbook
I can play with it at full speed… and more often than not I am using it more than I am my PC

yeah…it’s all about running virtual pc on the mac. sux that network and audio doesn’t work. now you can’t use all the cool progs that we use.
